The summer solstice is here again and all around the northern hemisphere age-old celebrations like bonfires, feasts and festivals are underway, but there are quieter ways to revel in the daylight hours. A walk in nature, a picnic in the sun, or an afternoon creating cyanotype prints.

Find Stillness In The Solstice
When time feels all over the place, the arrival of the solstice can be the anchor we need. With roots in the Latin words for ‘sun’ and ‘stand still’, this moment - when the shortest day meets the longest night (or vice versa) - comes as a welcome pause. A chance to be still, to connect with nature, and to celebrate new beginnings.

Forest Bathing, What’s That All About?
In our modern, tech-frazzled existence, taking time to reconnect with nature is the ultimate act of self-care. Even a short stint spent in natural surroundings can have a major impact on our mood; dialling down our stress hormones, and turning up our energy levels.
