Nature Says: Get Outside with Your Dog

Being a dog owner gives you endless opportunities to get out into the great outdoors – and spring is a wonderful time to experience all the goodness that Nature has to offer. We decided to make a list of great dog walks in the UK. And who better to consult than our staff’s pack of lovely four-legged friends?

Millie the Jackapoo

Millie the Jackapoo

Meet Millie, star of our current dog shampoo campaign and occasional office dog. Millie likes to roam across the peaks of the Lake District. She especially loves Gummers How, where she can take in the views, smell the pine trees, paddle in the streams and stomp in the muddy puddles. Because Millie really, really loves mud.

Sonic the Cockapoo

Sonic the Cockapoo

Another Faith In Nature model, Sonic has appeared in some of our dog shampoo photoshoots. Like Millie, she’s also a part-time office dog. Sonic loves to visit the Mountain Centre in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. It’s a much-loved walk featuring mud, mountains and plentiful countryside smells. Also, we’re told, the view from the trig point is fantastic!

Amber the Cockapoo

The second cute cockapoo on our list is Amber. Amber’s favourite walk is on the beach at New Brighton, Wirral. Her human tells us she loves it there because she enjoys chasing the birds and having a splash in the sea.

 Charlie the Cavapoo

 Charlie the Cavapoo

Charlie is another occasional office dog at Faith In Nature – and his favourite stroll is the circular route around Derwentwater in the Lake District. His human says: “This 10k walk is perfect for a dog that isn’t built for extreme terrains but still loves the outdoors. It’s a good little trail that is relatively flat with beautiful views of Derwentwater and surrounding landscapes of the Lake District. Then you can finish off with a lovely brunch or coffee in Keswick town centre!” Sounds like a dreamy Sunday to us.

Marley the Cavachon & Sherlock the Mixed Breed

Marley the Cavachon & Sherlock the Mixed Breed

Rescue dogs Marley and Sherlock love trips to Pennington Flash, near Wigan, because they can go for a swim and walk through woodland all in one place. Plus, apparently, there’s always an ice cream van for the humans. In this picture, they were photobombed by a great big St Bernard.

Trixie the Maltese Shih Tzu

Trixie the Maltese Shih Tzu

Trixie is our full-time office pup! When she’s not whizzing around the office or being the world's most adorable desk ornament, she loves walking in Trentham Park near Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. “The park has lots of different themed gardens, so the variety of the nature is lovely,” says her human. “There’s a huge lake too, but I think Trixie's favourite part is socialising with the other dogs – and the visit to the treat shop afterwards.”

Domino the Springer Spaniel

Domino the Springer Spaniel

Domino is a big fan of exploring the ruins of Errwood Hall in the Peak District’s Goyt Valley. She loves it because she doesn’t need to go on the lead and can run as far as she likes throughout the whole walk!

JAZZ THE BORDER COLLIE

Here's Jazz on his favourite walk in sunny Scotland. Auchmithie is a beautiful small fishing village near Arbroath in Angus. Jazz loves going to the beach there to scamper across the pebbles and splash in the sea.
