Doing good should feel good
Somewhere along the way, sustainability developed an image problem. It's become associated with giving things up – no plastic, no flights, no treats, no fun. Along with that comes the guilt trip – forgot the tote bag, ordered takeaway, used a plastic straw.
We've all been there. And when the sustainable option costs more or feels harder, it's all too easy to slip back into old habits.
If protecting Nature feels like hard work, then how will it ever become our new normal?
Nature never got the memo
Nature isn’t serious, quiet or worthy; it’s joyful, colourful and loud. Just look at birds of paradise prancing around to attract a mate, giant fluffy peonies showing off in spring, dolphins surfing waves or puffball mushrooms exploding overnight.
Nature knows how to enjoy itself, so shouldn’t looking after it feel a bit more… fun?

Choose joy, not guilt
Don’t think about sustainability in terms of what you can’t do but what you can.
Positive things are already happening. So instead of doomscrolling about climate change, get out and join the movement!
Visit your local refill shop where the owner knows your name and you’ll feel part of a community, pop into a repair cafe and you’ll gain new skills as well as a refreshed wardrobe; spend a morning at a community garden and you'll head home with muddy boots, inspiring ideas and maybe even a few new friends.
People aren’t gathering because they feel guilty – well, maybe at first! – they’re gathering because it’s enjoyable. Helping the environment becomes a beautiful side effect. How cool is that!

Who said it had to be hard?
Since 1974 we've believed that looking after Nature should feel like something everyone can do – not something reserved for people with endless time, money or willpower. That's why we make products that are accessible, affordable, colourful, smell incredible and are designed to be refilled. Because joy is what makes sustainable habits stick.
Doing the right thing doesn’t need to feel heavy. It’s about connecting with people and the world around us, it’s about small rituals that enrich your day and create better habits – something as small as as choosing a bottle you’ll happily refill.
Protecting nature is serious business. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy doing it.
