Culture Forager, Vol. 13
Winter is Nature’s way of reminding us to pause and reset. But even though it’s natural to turn inwards at this time of year, here’s our pick of cultural finds to encourage you out into the natural world and embrace what this season has to offer.

The Concert Season
Tune into the sights and sounds of planet Earth at the Barbican. Their ‘Fragile Earth: Sounds of a living planet’ concerts explore the inspiration Nature provides and the challenges the natural world faces in these unprecedented times. There’ll be music composed by Anna Meredith, Judith Weir and John Luther Adams, to name a few.

The Book
Learn how to navigate the longer days ahead and embrace all Nature has to offer during winter. Inspired by her PhD research and influences from cultures around the world, Kari Leibowitz offers practical, easy-to-follow advice for transforming your experience of wintertime and making the most out of the darker days.

The Film Festival
Missed your chance to get to Kendal Mountain Festival? Then cosy up with over 300 filmmakers and storytellers to watch inspiring films of Nature connection, human resilience and adventure via the festival’s online streaming platform.

The Workshops
Whether you're indoors or out, embrace the extra downtime over the festive period and try something new. From upcycled copper to freshly foraged winter wreaths, there’s a whole host of crafts to help you feel more connected with Nature this season.

The Illustrated Talk
Embrace your artistic side and enjoy an illustrated talk with Martin Bowden. The artist will guide you through the exhibition and introduce you to a whole new perspective on wintertime art. Can't make it to Gloucester? The gallery is available to view online.

The Feast
Ever dreamed about dining beneath the stars? Led by lantern, make your way through the landscape to your setting in the woods and enjoy a hearty feast as you dine under a moonlit sky. Discover ingredients foraged from around the estate and learn more about the flavours the land has to offer at this time of year.
