2025: wrapped
2025. Wow. What a year! Here are the highlights…
1. Care starts from within
This year, we joined the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter. We committed to paying the Real Living Wage – ensuring that the people behind our products are valued, supported, and fairly rewarded. This meant that 40% of our workforce saw an uplift in their take-home pay. “We’re proud to have gained this accreditation, which demonstrates how putting people at the heart of our business is central to creating meaningful, sustainable growth” - Hannah Whittaker, Managing Director.
2. The impact report
We continue to work on reducing our impact on the natural world, and we’re pleased to say that our Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint is continuing to fall. Keep your eyes peeled for our new impact report, coming in January (you can check out last year’s report here).
3. We have a new home!
In 2021, we started the move to our new home in Bury. In 2025, we finished it. Now, all of our products are manufactured under one roof in Greater Manchester. It’s better for our people, and better for the planet, too.

4. Protecting Orangutans
Caring for Nature means caring for all beings. We’re honoured to be a pioneering sponsor of the Rewild Fund with the Sumatran Orangutan Society. Their work strives to protect, connect and rewild the Orangutans’ forest home in Sumatra. By creating rope bridges to pockets of natural rainforest, they’re helping Orangutans navigate their changing habitat and offset some of the effects of human habitation.
5. Nature on the Board
Our latest Nature on the Board (NOTB) report is here. As part of NOTB, we’re committed to producing these annual reports — offering an insight into the goings-on, Nature’s involvement and how NOTB is playing out. At last count, roughly 25 other organisations have implemented versions of the model in the UK, Belgium, the US and Australia. And we’re confident that number will only grow.

6. Committed to B Corp
We’ve been a proud B-Corp since summer 2023, and our Sustainability Director, Laura Ford, continues to represent! Here she is in a panel discussion at the B Lab North West 10th anniversary event.
7. Future Council
It was heart-warming to attend the first UK screening of 'Future Council' at The British Library. Our Brand Director, Simeon Rose, met with the incredible stars of the Future Council who have made it their mission to create change and protect the planet we love. It’s an inspiring watch for everyone, and a project that we're incredibly proud to have taken part in. Stay tuned for the film's release early next year, but in the meantime, catch the trailer here.
8. Giving back
We’ve been involved with some incredible local and UK-based charities doing some good this year. From Surplus to Purpose to the Manchester City Council Homeless Sector and The Booth Centre, we’ve donated over £118,000 in products to good causes in the last year.
9. A golden year for awards
We were named as one of Fast Company’s most innovative companies, highlighted in the Corporate Social Responsibility category for our work to give Nature a seat on the board. We were also the Sustainability Champion Gold winner at the 2025 Impact Awards, as well as being nominated for the This Is Manchester leading sustainability and impact accolade.

10. We went on tour
Did you see us on the road? We popped up at over 12 major music and cultural events this year, including Hay Festival (summer and winter) and Glastonbury. We’ll be back on the road again next year, so hopefully catch you somewhere?
11. Products that give back
Our aluminium bottles are really starting to make a difference – and now, you can find us in Boots. Infinitely recyclable, with a 100% recycled bottle and a recyclable pump, they’re the gift that keeps on giving.
12. British wildlife bounced back (a bit)
When wildlife thrives, so do we. 2025 saw Hen Harrier numbers rise slightly, while the UK government approved the reintroduction of Beavers in different parts of England. Dr Juliet Rose, our Nature Guardian, said, “What these stories tell us is that when and where we account for Nature, Nature responds.” Read an interview with our Nature Guardian here.
2025 has been a time of real change. But Nature never stops, and neither do we. Here’s to 2026… but not before enjoying these quietest of Winter days.
See you on the other side…
