Faith in Nature supporting the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals through Merit360.

A collaboration between World Merit, a Liverpool based charity and Manchester-based natural beauty products manufacturer, Faith in Nature will help secure places for up to 10 disadvantaged youngsters on an internationally recognised program working to tackle the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Merit360 is the world’s most significant program for global citizens who want to help tackle the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. The 360 delegates will work together at a prestigious camp in the USA and at the UN Headquarters in New York, representing almost every country, and collaborating together to inspire change.

One of the events that gives young people the chance to earn their place on the Merit360 programme is the World Merit Global Bake Sale which launches on March 31st, with bake sales taking place in over 50 countries and 100 cities around the world. An anticipated 500 young people will participate, all trying to achieve sales of a minimum £750. Those that do will have an opportunity to be interviewed for a place on the Merit360 program.

Faith in Nature continually supports a range of good causes with financial assistance and product donations. Faith’s Managing Director, Joy Parkinson said: “Our involvement with World Merit will allow numerous disadvantaged individuals to achieve the contribution level of £750 and this may lead to a place on the coveted Merit360 program in the USA.

“If we can help individuals from Liverpool to Nairobi who, through their endeavours, did thevery best they could, considering their individual circumstances, then our financial support will have been worthwhile and justified.”

Faith in Nature will also provide ranges of their natural beauty products to Merit360 participants for use at the residential gathering in the USA. On September 9th the participants will convene at the UN headquarters in New York. There will be a presentation
by Ban Ki-Moon, current Secretary-General of the United Nations, as well as other notable speakers.
