Heading to Glastonbury this year? So are we! You’ll find an assortment of Faith in Nature products to buy, from our bestselling Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner, to the lushly fragranced Lavender & Geranium Body Wash.
Planning to hit a different festival? Take a mini bottle of Dragon Fruit Body Wash with you. The 100ml size is plenty big enough for a weekend.
Baby-wipe free zones
Some festivals are banning single use baby wipes this year, so if you want to freshen up between showers, pack a flannel or reusable wipes.
Stay dry
Planning to skip the showers completely? The British weather may have other ideas, so a hammam towel is worth considering. It’s fairly quick drying, doesn’t take up much room in your backpack and can double up as a sarong. You’ll also want a decent raincoat. Try Patagonia and Thought for more ethical choices. A couple of extra pairs of socks are also a good idea.
Personal care essentials
Leave the toothbrush behind and avoid queues by taking some chewable toothpaste tablets. You’ll also need a decent deodorant. Ours are made from natural ingredients, including essential oils.
Don’t forget the sunscreen!
We’re all hoping for some sun at this year’s festivals, but even if it’s chucking it down, you’ll still need to pack sun cream. There are plenty of greener options to choose from. Check out Big Green Smile for brands such as Green People, Badger and Alba Botanica.
Keep hydrated
Festivals are getting better at providing places to top up your water. Most single-use plastic bottles aren’t suitable for refilling though, as the chemicals can leach into the water. So do pack a reusable water bottle.
Leave nothing behind
Undoubtedly, the biggest eco-impact you can have at a festival is making sure you don’t leave anything behind, particularly your tent, airbed and other camping supplies. Why not rent a pre-pitched tent through an organisation like Camplight? A tent, inflatable mattress and sleeping bag costs from just £7.50 a night, so you’ll save time and money as well as waste. Plus, you won’t need to lug a heavy backpack through muddy fields. What’s not to like?
