“I had peri-oral dermatitis for around a year, after seeing a skin specialist who diagnosed the condition I was treated with a 3 month course antibiotics to resolve it. However was given no advice on how to avoid a re-occurrence. After searching myself … it was suggested by others who also suffered the condition that it might be caused by the harsh chemicals in toothpaste and shampoo. One of these being SLS. I removed these from my toiletries and used only natural products and did not have a re-occurrence of the skin condition. Around 18 months later whilst I was travelling I was unable to buy a natural toothpaste and shampoo so reverted back to using products that contained SLS. The condition re-occurred within weeks! Once again I had to take a 2 month course of antibiotics to return my skin to normal. I have since then not used any products containing SLS and now enjoy using the Faith in Nature Lavender & Geranium Shampoo.”
