Ammonium Alum

Some people confuse alum with aluminum chlorohydrate and aluminum zirconium chlorohydrate, both of which are frequently found in deodorants and anti-perspirants. Ammonium alum has a large molecule which is not absorbed through the skin, and it works by killing bacteria, thus eliminating body odour. However, it still allows the body to perspire which is essential to stop the build up of toxins.Used for thousands of years in S E Asia as an anti-bacterial on minor cuts and scrapes.
