Melia azadirachta
The Neem tree is native to China and India, but it is now grown in many locations. The extracted oil is known for its anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties, and is good for treating common ailments of the skin and scalp.
For centuries Neem has been used in the East to cleanse the body of parasites and it is beneficial in helping to prevent, or scare away head lice. Additionally, the oil helps to improve general health and well being as it is a major immune stimulant.
