At the present time the certification of natural beauty products is causing industry wide concern. At Faith, we believe the primary purpose of certification should be to provide the consumer with clear and unequivocal information upon which to base their purchasing decisions.
Currently there are various national and quasi international certification bodies, but their differing standards makes compliance difficult, if not impossible, for a company such as ours which has a thriving export business. Added to the fact that these various bodies are all revenue generating, it means we are faced with large costs for something of unproven value. These costs would invariably mean an increase in our prices, something we are reluctant to contemplate.
Therefore, we have made the decision to label all our products with all their contents, including the source, unlike some of the certification bodies who only require manufacturers to identify a proportion of the product contents. If you are unsure as to anything concerning, or relating to, a Faith in Nature product, then please contact us. We will do our best to help.
As an ethical manufacturer we would like to see the harmonisation of certification standards across all national borders. When that occurs it must be for the benefit of one group and one group only – the consumer.
